Friday Favorites

Today I’m linking up for Friday Favorites!

We made it! We are rolling into the weekend excited about doing absolutely nothing for a few days!

o

I feel a little like I’ve been running toward the finish line of the week, but the finish line keeps moving further and further away. I woke up on Wednesday morning thinking it was Thursday, and isn’t that just the most crushing feeling in the world? It’s been a few weeks of sick kids and juggling work and mommin’ with sick kids is tough, so I’m so glad it’s almost the weekend. I’ve got a nap in my future, that’s for sure.

We’ve got a pretty laid back weekend ahead of us, which is the best kind, in my opinion. It’s been rainy here all week, but the forecast is calling for clear skies and some sunshine this weekend, so I think the most exciting thing we’ve got planned is heading to the park, griling and running around outside.

Anyway, let’s whine a little less and talk about favorites a little more, shall we?

Booking a relaxing weekend away with Neil and the kids

Seriously, though. We’re heading up north for a relaxing weekend soon, and I can’t wait to unplug, unwind, and just chill out. It doesn’t hurt that the lodge has a great spa, either…

Baby Snuggles

I don’t love that Brennan is more snuggly this week because he isn’t feeling his best, but I am soaking up the time spent rocking and cuddling up together. With his typical go-go-go personality slowing down just a bit because of teething, we’ve been distracting him with songs, books, and staring at the fan. Why kids love fans so much, I’ll never know…

Also, his big sister handed down those pj’s to baby B – it’s only going to be cold here for so long… then he can ditch those fleece penguin ‘jams! πŸ™‚

Intelligentsia Coffee

My sister-in-law, Alyssa, and her fiance, Chaz, gifted me a bag of it for Christmas this year, and I finally got around to grinding the beans and brewing it last week. Oh my word, ya’ll, it’s fantastic. They only have locations in Chicago, but I’m pretty sure that I’ll be ordering more and having it shipped to Minnesota.

Starburst Jelly Beans

Can’t stop, won’t stop. Should stop….

My little kitchen helper

Evelyn has been spending more time in the kitchen with me, and it’s been so fun. Three is such a fun age! We bought some lettuce knives for her to use, and she has been having a blast. Last night we made flatbread pizzas and it was so fun watching her pile on the cheese, then talk about how yummy her pizza was that she made. And Christmas pj’s on Easter morning… why not? πŸ™‚

I hope you all have a great weekend! xo

That coffee sounds awesome. And yes, Starburst jellybeans. So good but so bad.
